McDonnell/Douglas F-4D Phantom II Restoration

Over 1000 hours were spent restoring this F-4D Phantom II in Vietnam colors in honor of L/C Bill Curnutte. In March 2006, over 200 people attended the dedication of the aircraft. Curnutte volunteered for Vietnam and served with the 366th TFW "Gunfighters". He flew F-4D missions with the 390th TFW "Wild Boars" from June 1968 to June 1969. Curnutte was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for heroism in Laos assisting with the rescue of a downed fighter pilot. See DFCSociety.org article for more information.
